Holy smokes – 2015 is almost over! I can’t believe it’s time for my annual “best of the year” post. 2015 has been a crazy year – we moved across the country, I started a new job, many wedding to-do’s were completed, and, of course, we ate lots and lots of food. Here are the posts you loved most in 2015!
10. Bakery Style Double Chocolate Muffins
So big, so chocolate-y, so perfect. These are the best breakfast for the chocoholics in your life!
9. Kitchen Sink Summer Farro Salad
This is a classic throw-everything-in-the-fridge-in-a-bowl recipe and I absolutely love how it turned out. A summer staple in our house!
8. The Ultimate Bacon Burger with Goat Cheese, Fig Jam, and Spicy Porter Mustard
Need I say more? My favorite burger topping combination of all time! I’m so glad you guys agree.
7. Bourbon Salted Caramel Fudge
This makes me so happy because it actually resulted from a recipe fail when I tried to make caramels and had some issues with my candy thermometer. I almost didn’t post it, and I’m so glad I did! Such a great homemade candy treat.
6. Mini Strawberry Mascarpone Tarts
Another summer-y treat – I absolutely LOVED this light and fresh take on a strawberry shortcake. Graham cracker crust, sweetened mascarpone, fresh juicy strawberries and mint?! It doesn’t get any better than that.
5. Stovetop White Cheddar Mac and Cheese with Peas and Parmesan
My all-time favorite mac n’ cheese recipe. So creamy, ooey-gooey, and full of flavor. The peas are the perfect pop of color (and totally count as eating our vegetables, right?).
4. Holiday M&M’s® Oatmeal Cookies
A Lookabaugh family favorite! These are seriously the best cookies in the entire world, and holiday M&M’s® add the perfect festive touch for Christmas.
3. Matcha White Chocolate Walnut Blondies
Such a fun St. Patrick’s Day treat! I love baking with matcha – it’s such a cool, unique flavor. These blondies are sooooo good.
2. Savory Oatmeal Breakfast Bowls with Crispy Eggs, Bacon, and Scallions
I loved these bowls – such a fun twist on my boring old oatmeal breakfast. A perfect option for when you feel like mixing it up!
1.Salted Bourbon Dulce De Leche No-Churn Ice Cream
What can I say?! Everyone loves no-churn ice cream. It’s so easy and so delicious! I highly recommend trying this fun treat out in the summertime.
And that’s it! It’s been a fantastic here over at My Bacon-Wrapped Life, and I have all of you to thank for that. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much for stopping by to read my weekly posts and for sharing my love of all things food. You all rock! A very Happy New Year to each and every one of you! XO!
