Greek street food at the Wells Street Art Festival – seconds before I took one bite, then dropped the entire plate all over my lap and the curb. It was awesome (not).

Welcome to this week’s Foodie Favorites! Last week we talked about the best BBQ in Chicago instead, so I have lots of good stuff saved up for this week. Apparently I’m really into sweets lately? Let’s roll with it.

This bacon fat ice cream is possibly an even more decadent/jacked-up version of Sunday’s post. I completely support this and am already dreaming more bacon ice cream dreams!

I can’t wait to try out this blackberry cinnamon roll cake. Homemade cinnamon rolls are amazing, but so daunting – this seems like the perfect way to do it!

I spotted this orecchiette with corn, greens, and ricotta in the most recent issue of Bon Appetit and immediately dog-eared the page. (And then went and found it online – does anyone else do that or just me??) Talk about the perfect light, simple summer pasta!

This strawberry sconecake is likeeee the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. What a cute and unique idea! A scone cake is totally my kind of cake.

These rice krispie treats made with Ritz crackers is such a genius idea. Buttery ritz crackers + marshmallows?! Sign me up! We all know I go crazy for sweet and salty desserts.

Sad story: I had the biggest cooking fail ever this Friday trying to make a skillet pizza using this method. It was impossible to get in the skillet, and then I followed the directions to a T and the crust completely burned. We ate cheese and toppings scraped off the crust for dinner. Has anyone tried this before and succeeded?! Where did I go wrong? Luckily, I made this recipe with the other half of the dough a few days later and it was a smashing success. I don’t think I could have handled two pizza failures in one weekend!
