Just casually sippin’ one of my favorite beers outside on a hot and sunny day. Why did I ever leave California again?!
Hey everyone! How’s your week going? This has been a rather hectic week for us…since last Wednesday, we’ve had our furniture delivered (semi-seamlessly), cleaned and assembled the entire apartment, and done more physical box-lifting activity than I’d like to do in my entire life. (Seriously – Never. Moving. Ever. Again.) I also started my new job and we’ve had Brad’s mom staying with us, so it’s been very busy but very fun! Better to be busy than bored, right?! Anyways, here are this week’s Foodie Favorites!
Quick Berkeley faves so far – we’ve been doing a lot of eating at home, but we did go out to Eureka and Jupiter. Both had seriously awesome beer menus and excellent food, so I’m loving what I’m seeing so far! At Eureka, I got one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life – I won’t tell you what it is, because I have on my to-do list to re-create for the blog, but I will say you should get excited! (Hint: there will be bacon.)
These peanut butter and jelly crumb muffins are my dream-desert-island muffin. They look SO decadent and crumbly and peanut butter-y!
This gorgeous Brussels sprout salad with hazelnuts and parmesan is such a cool, texture-filled way to use my fave veggie before they go out of season for good! Get on it!
This chili cinnamon bourbon hot toddy looks so warm and comforting. I love bourbon and spice and hot drinks, so even though it’s a casual 75 degrees and sunny here, I think I need this in my life!
I rarely get this excited about vegetables, but when the guys behind Ottolenghi are involved, I know it’s going to be freakin’ fantastic (evidence here). I can’t wait to try this gorgeous carrot recipe – perfect for SPRING!
Hello, bacon tomato soup. I’d like to go to town on a bowl of this bad boy!
Okay, I’m off to crash hard – this week has me completely exhausted already! Have a great one – XO!
