This is juuuuuust about the perfect January meal.
I mean, it’s warm and cozy, healthy, a little spicy, and most importantly, freakin’ delicious. What more do we need?

I’d like to introduce you to the least photogenic but most delicious healthy breakfast you’ll eat all Fall. Riiiiight up there. That’s the one!
These pumpkin chia overnight oats may not win any beauty contests, but they are my new favorite thing. Have you ever tried overnight oats? They are a recent Pinterest phenomenon, basically consisting of old-fashioned oats that sit in liquid overnight to soften and form a cold, sweet, healthy breakfast porridge. I have been very intrigued by them ever since I tried chia pudding last year – this peanut butter and jelly version remains one of the most popular recipes on my site! I love oatmeal and eat it almost every morning because I am a boring grandma, but I wasn’t sure how COLD oats would turn out…I mean, the idea of cold, gloppy oatmeal is not exactly appetizing, right?
Haaaaaappy Easter, people!
Well, I’m a week early. But you know what I mean. Happy let-me-show-you-what-you-need-to-make-next-Sunday-for-Easter-day. It’s how we roll.
Tons of Indian food from one of our favorite places in Chicago, Tandoor. Full review to come next week – stay tuned!
Hey guys! How’s your week going? We got hit by a major blizzard over the weekend (5th largest in Chicago history, woo-hoo!) and yet still made it out for the Super Bowl. If I’m not a real Midwesterner at this point, I give up! Hope you stayed safe (and warm!) in all this crazy winter weather. Here are this week’s Foodie Favorites!
Afternoon beer just might be the greatest idea ever. Such a classy excuse for day drinking!
I am always on the lookout for new granola recipes to try, and this simple coconut oil granola looks fantastic! I haven’t tried making granola with coconut oil, and I think it’s about time I start.
